WORKSHOP online - Barriers to communication and knowledge transfer in large multi-lingual consortia -

This workshop, organized by Working Group 6 and Horizontal group 4, aims to explore how language, terminology, and discipline-specific communication practices shape collaboration in large, international, multilingual research teams, with a focus on One Health research. Building on a recent survey conducted within the Action, the session will focus on open discussion and experience-sharing, highlighting how language barriers—including English proficiency and specialized jargon—affect scientific meetings, knowledge transfer, and communication from leadership to members.
